Maintenance & Handling
All demisters should be handled with great care as damage can seriously affect performance. Due to the high free volume and the fine mesh structure, the demister sections can be easily distorted. A tight fit between each section and the walls of the vessel is important, and for this reason the demister sections are always made oversize. In addition a layer or mesh (crimped if metal ) is seen on the edge of the pad to ensure a perfect fit to each adjacent section.
When positioning the section it is important to press firmly and evenly to ensure a regular close fitting mesh across the whole vessel without distortion. As there are no moving parts demisters require the minimum of maintenance. in certain application, blockage may occure particularly during cooling or shutdown. This can be removed by spraying with water, solvents or steam and can often be done in situ.
QA and Certification
Great emphasis is placed on the importance of quality within our organisation.
All products are checked at various stages of production through to final despatch.
Full material traceability is operated and supporting documentation can be provided
Intallation
All demister (except the spiral wound type) are sectional for ease of installation through a manhole. sections are normally 350mm wide by 102-152mm thick. Support grids average 25mm thk. sections are normally made longer than 1900mm due to difficulty in handing. Breaks in length coincide with support beams across the vessel. All demisters are supplied with an installation diagram and each section of the demister is marked with is correct position. Demister and grids can made to your exact dimensions. If single sections are required for replacement these can usually be supplied if clearly referenced. holdown bars, Lugs and bolt, support beams and annular rings are supplied by the vessel fabricator.
